So you now are wondering all right I really want to start a home based business but which one should I choose? There are so many choices and so many different products and services to represent.Well the first thing I will tell you is to do your homework. Check and make sure that the parent company that you will be an independent distributor for is a member of the Direct Selling Association. Go to their website and look up the parent company/product and see if the home based business opportunity that you are considering is a member.
Then ask yourself a few questions about the product or service:
1. Is this a product or service I would use (Do I believe in it?)
2. Is my sponsor an experienced leader in this company or a flash in the pan who will quit and move on after only a few months?
3. Is the product or service I will be representing to my customers priced competitively or can I buy the same or similar product at the store or online for less?
4. How much competition is there for the product or service itself?
5. How is the compensation plan? Read it in detail and ask for it in advance. If they will not provide it then walk away.
6. What is the potential return on my original investment? For example if I invest $500 in this business how many widgets will I need to sell or customers will I need to recoup my investment and start making profit?
7. What are the ongoing costs of the business after start up?
8. Can my residual income be cut off if I do not meet a certain quota?
9. Is the parent company stable? How much debt do they have?
10. How long has this company been around? (less time does not always mean bad here as some home business opportunities are worn out and tired after years of being around the block)
There are many others but these are just a few. When you complete the form in the box next to this text either myself or Michelle will call you to discuss our home business opportunity. Feel free to ask us any or all of these questions
